[Michael assumes this was intended for him! That's not because of anything in the message, though, more the fact that he's never really seen anybody fuck up with their bracer quite so spectacularly.
Anyway, this is...sort of weird? Maybe it's because everybody knows he's ventured a little into the world of poetry, thanks to the voidfish. Michael still can't imagine why he'd be the recipient of this over Resident Poem Girl Sayori. Does Yuri just not know her? She doesn't know Michael all that well either, but.]
I was a lava monster once, you know. Just entirely made of lava!
[He has. No idea what this poem is about. Just gonna take a stab at it. Did she send it to him because she figures demons would know about oppressive heat and fire?]
Oh, yes. Things have gotten more complicated with my body since I got here, but before this place, it was technically just a skinsuit. For us, it's something like a custom-made, pretty expensive item of clothing. It's common to wear a great many different ones, over the course of a career. Different roles require different physical forms.
And pretty much everybody does some time as a lava monster. Very traditional, good place for new interns.
[Maybe all she was after was some more demon lore! She did seem very interested before!]
It's not as fun as you're probably imagining. Appearances are generated randomly, unless you're senior management. I didn't choose anything about how I look now.
Well, I did pick the clothes and the glasses. They gave me these awful wire frames at first, like I was a serial killer from the 1960s.
Just seemed normal, really. Not like we have control over most things. You get a little more the more you climb the corporate ladder, but even a senior staff member can't just pick a new job. I couldn't have helped any humans that way.
Oh, yes. I had this whole plan for sneaking out, but it didn't work out. We ended up being chased. I actually got caught! My friend Janet had to get me out.
She beat the crap out of my boss, and it was amazing! (ノ°∀°)ノ⌒・*:.。. .。.:*・゜゚・*☆

I have to admit I'm a little envious you have the option to change yourself...

... Didn't that drive you mad?
The glasses are nice, though.

I couldn't have helped any humans that way.
But it's fine. I like this body now.

Not even demons like you.
I can't believe it.

I did become a rebel and flee to Earth, though, so I took a little more control than anybody ELSE!

But, what chased you?
[She might also be a little bit envious that he makes it actually seem so easy and carefree to do such a thing. But she doesn't say so.]

Also, the cops.

You always seem to surprise me with what demonology really is.

I really don't know what that would be.
